Dr. Starr joined Harts Run Veterinary Hospital as an Associate
Veterinarian in September of 2025. She grew up outside of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, where most of her family still resides. Dr.
Starr attended Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania for
her undergraduate education, majoring in biology and minoring in
music. She discovered her passion for veterinary medicine after
shadowing at a veterinary clinic during her junior year of college.
Dr. Starr attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary
Medicine and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine
degree in 2019. She then practiced at various small animal general practices in Missouri, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Dr. Starr and her family have now settled down in the North Pittsburgh area and they are excited to start establishing connections within the community. Dr. Starr enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets as well as the wide array of cases that come with working in a general practice.
When not at work, Dr. Starr enjoys spending time with her son,
Alexander. She has played in local community bands since graduating from Westminster College and enjoys how they allow for meeting individuals in the community that share the same passion for music. She also enjoys reading fantasy novels, crocheting, and swimming. Her and her family like to spend time outdoors and are looking forward to exploring all that the North Pittsburgh area has to offer. She has three cats at home: Prince, Sergeant Jack Meowers, and Leonardo DiCatio.
